As I sit at my desk in beautiful, sunny Colorado Springs, I have been reflecting on our journey as a Company.  Looking back, the development of the Tekumo platform started in 2013. We were operating, at that time, as a small IT managed service provider, Sequenza. But we could see significant trends on the horizon: Uber-like business models were developing, and the Internet of Things and the proliferation of devices were exploding. We and the industry needed a new service delivery platform.

Leveraging our shared backgrounds in software development and field services, we jumped into code development, while still flying the plane as a service provider. We were confident that “If we used the platform as we developed it, we would know it works right.”  Well, a couple years later, thousands upon thousands of work orders have run through the system, automation has been built in, reports and dashboards have been generated and we have an industry leading platform!

By the end of 2022, we knew we had to pivot our business model. It was time to make the switch from being an IT services company to our “real soul” of being a software company. We knew that in doing so, we’d have to say goodbye to some long-standing contracts, that revenue would dip, and questions from outsiders would arise. However, the vision and opportunity were still there, and the target was way too big to forget – so we changed.

Here we are a few months after the change. Revenue did dip, but we have added significant new customers (we prefer to call them partners), across several industry segments. Our press releases and Letter to Shareholders detail some of those exciting developments.

Speaking as the Chief Executive Officer, I am extremely pleased with what our team has been able to accomplish and even more, I smile when I look at where we are going.
